For this sweet pink quilt, I chose an IQ design, and used Sew Fine on top and MagnaGlide in the bobbin.

Martha K's Crazy Asian 9-Patch

 

 

 

 

For Martha's quilt, I chose gold Glide thread on top, and MagnaGlide in the bobbin. The designs used in the border and the center of the quilt were Asian themed IQ patterns.

Quilt of Valor

 

 

 

 

Very soon, New Mexico's National Guard will be returning from the Middle East. A group out of Santa Fe has been working feverishly (and successfully) to produce enough quilts to ensure every returning member will receive a Quilt of Valor in appreciation for their service. I quilted and bound this quilt--filling it with love and gratitude. I used Sew Fine on top and MagnaGlide in the bobbin, choosing a patriotic IQ design.

Susannah's Flannel Quilt

Susannah asked that this quit and two shams be quilted simply. I used an IQ pattern, Sew Fine on top and MagnaGlide in the bobbin and it all quilted up like a dream.

Penny's "Our Lady" Quilt

 

 

This is the 4th bold and bright wall hanging Penny has made on this theme. I used a combination of freehand and IQ designs, Sew Fine thread on top, and MagnaGlide in the bobbin.

Kira's Beautiful Applique

When I first put this quilt on my machine, I outlined the applique and then used a tight fill in the background. Ew! It just didn't work with the neutral background and pastel applique and was distracting. And so, my DH Daryl spent hours upon hours taking the stitching out for me. At last, the quilt was ready for a redo. I outlined all the applique, did SID (stitch-in-the-ditch) for each block and chose a complimentary design for the borders. Sew Fine thread was used on top, MagnaGlide in the bobbin.

Love Quilt by Linda H

Linda wanted similar quilting as shown on the original pattern. I was able to do so with the help of my Intelliquilter for the cobblestone and swirl backgrounds...the rest was handguided. I used Sew Fine on top and MagnaGlide in the bobbin.

Viola's Chili Quilt

In New Mexico, you will always be asked "red or green" at a restaurant featuring New Mexican fare. This refers to the type of chili sauce that should be added to your dish. My DH Daryl created a chili pattern for use with my Intelliquilter--I used Sew Fine on top and MagnaGlide bobbins.
