Val's 2009 BOM

It is always a joy to work on a quilt that lies flat, is square and was pieced with such care. Val's 2009 BOM was a bit of a challenge--coming up with cohesive and creative ways to make each block special. I used Sew Fine and Glide in the bobbin.

Karen S's Applique Wallhanging

Karen's wallhanging (she's a customer through my LQS) inspired me to try out new tecnhiques and styles. It was a thrill to receive her phone call telling me how much she loved what I had done for her. I used Sew Fine, Mono-poly and Glide in the bobbin.

Applique by Karen S

It seems that the prettier the quilt top, the more I stress about doing it justice. It was a nice surprise to receive a phone call from my LQS customer after she picked up the quilt and hear her glowing comments. The quilting on this flowed rather organically and I was relieved that the chances I took in design were appreciated! Whew!! I used Sew Fine and Mono-poly along with Glide in the bobbin.

Ilene A's Irish Chain

Ilene was my very first customer and continues to send me her quilts from Northern California. This quilt was beautifully pieced and included two pillow shams. I used Sew Fine throughout. I received the nicest thank you card...what a blessing quilters are!!

Cathy A's Snowball

Perhaps I should blame all these snowball quilts for the late snowfall in New Mexico? has no affect on the weather; or does it!!??? Cathy's snowball quilt was fun to work on and I enjoyed coming up with something a little different in the blue border. I used Sew Fine on top, and Glide in the bobbin.

Eileen S's quilt for Olive

Eileen made this adorale quilt for her new granddaughter, Olive. She asked that I use dragonflies, and DH Daryl created a sweet dragonfly panto block to use. Eileen loved it! Again, Sew Fine used throughout.
