We were blessed with a beautiful day as we ended 2009. This was our heaviest snow this season and the winds created drifts and sculpted the snow, creating quite the playground for Cozmo and Saba (Schipperke and Aussie/Chow mix). May the year ahead be wondrous and full of delightful discoveries, prosperity and the unconditional love of family and friends.

My MIL Darlene picked my SIL's name in the Christmas drawing our family held a while back and made this quilt top for her. I quilted it using Sew Fine throughout with a nice cozy wool batting. As DharmaLynne lives in Colorado, this lap quilt will get lots of use and keep her warm and cozy this winter.

This quilt was brought to me by the friend of this customer. Teri wanted to take this quilt top created by her grandmother nearly 60 years ago and finish it for her for Christmas. Wool batting was used along with a flannel backing so Teri's grandmother may use it to keep warm.

This beauty was an interesting challenge. I tried to keep an Asian flair with the quilting, and not over-quilt it--I worked to make the quilt itself shine. There were several thread changes, keeping with Sew Fine throughout. Eve cried when she saw it...it was more than she anticipated. Talk about a confirmation of choosing well for the quilt...
A couple of years ago, my Aunt Eileen picked up a slew of antique windmill blocks at a sewing/quilting event in Washington State. She removed the occcasional corner fabric pieces which were discolored and impossible to match. Then, Eileen finished the blocks with the same fabric she used to create sashing, added borders and asked me to quilt this for her. I used Sew Fine thread and worked to show off this pretty quilt without calling attention to the imperfect piecing of the original quilter.
