Ursula's Christmas Togs

Ursula's great grandmother Darlene couldn't resist this Christmas outfit and it looks adorable on her! Ursula had fun with all the fur critters that reside here, especially our Schipperke Cozmo--whom Ursula called "Costco". He was the perfect size for her!

Heather and Ursula

Daughter Heather and granddaughter Ursula left today to go home to Little Rock. They were here for a week and we just chilled while they were here. In fact, Heather requested snow, and New Mexico obliged...as the photos attest! We had a grand time!!

Aunt Eileen's Antique Quilt

My Aunt Eileen picked up the antique squares in this quilt at Innovations a couple of years ago. The corners were done on a few of the blocks with printed fabric and Aunt Eileen opted to remove all of the corners and created sashing that incorporated the borders. This is a graduation gift for one of her granddaughters. The original quilter created rather wonky blocks that seem to look absolutely lovely in their new setting. I used Permacore thread on top and Sew Fine in the bobbin on the white and printed fabrics, and Sew Fine in top and bobbin in the purple/blue sashing.
