I've been tagged by Kathy of http://quiltldy.blogspot.com/ for a Sixth Picture Meme and went searching in my sixth folder for the sixth photo and here it is:
This photo was taken of our snow covered oaks in the winter of 2006. Our third winter here in New Mexico, we were still thrilled with snow...and strangely enough, still are!
The rules are simple and here they are:
Go to your Picture Folder on your computer or wherever you store your pictures.
Go to the 6th Folder, then pick the 6th picture in that folder.
Post that picture on your blog and the story that goes along with the picture.
Tag 6 other people that you know or don’t know to do the same thing and leave a comment on their blog or an e-mail letting them know you chose them

Now that all the bedding is clean and almost everything out of Darlene's bedroom, I made the bed this morning and wanted to show just how pretty this quilt looks. Again, the colors are not quite true and the outer border appears to be black instead of purple. I can't wait for Daryl and Darlene to arrive tomorrow evening!!

Shirley S. made this beautiful quilt in lucious batiks. She asked that I try to follow the design as shown on the original design and found it easy to do. Although you cannot see the final border, I used wavy lines with the occasional curl to emulate flowing water. This quilt was turned in yesterday, so I await Shirley's response...
Eve made this for her mother as a belated Christmas Gift. She asked me to make it 'special', with the tree as a focus. I wish the photos showed off the ornaments quilted on the tree a bit better--ah, the limitations of digital photos. She received this on January 6 and just loved it. After Eve bound it, she let us take photos.
Finished at last! This Star Cabin quilt was begun at Jackie Robinson's May 2008 Retreat in Taos, New Mexico. I pulled all the fabrics (except for the outter borders) from my stash and completed the assembly in November 2008. During my break from customer quilts in late December 2008 I quilted this baby...and finished up the hand work on the binding earlier this month.
The timing is great as my MIL, Darlene, will be moved into our home next week and this quilt is for her bed. Welcome home, Darlene!
