Knitting addiction

At present, I'm finishing up a pair of socks for me and this--my second pair ever--is going oh so much more quickly. Amazing how spending time doing lace and then cables with repeated patterns gets one in the habit of learning the various repeat stitch sets. I can certainly get farther faster when I don't have to look up the pattern every row to refresh my memory!

Reverse

This was a simple pattern...two rectangles worked on straight needles and then sewn together and fringed. BTW, I used nearly three skeins for the fringe alone! Posted by Picasa

At last, Aran at last

My Aran poncho, begun in January was completed in April. This was just in time for a trip to Wisconsin where the nights were very cold, and this poncho was only one of the layers I needed. I finally got around to taking a photo of it, in 87 degree weather (hence the open necked dress underneath).
This was a free Patons Design Studio pattern on the internet, and I used two strands of Knitpicks Wool of the Andes and size 9 knitting needles. I love the feel of this poncho--it's soft and drapes well!
