Lace back

This view shows off the pattern best, IMO. Again, it is plenty long for this tall gal. Posted by Picasa

Another First...in Lace!

At long last, I have blocked my first lace shawl and with the advent of our cold weather, wearing it! I love the feel of it and my only wish would be to have known how to widen the shawl for more "wrap" in the front without adding a great deal of length to it. I'm 5' 10" and so this is nice and long as is. Posted by Picasa

Sock it to me!

My first pair of socks were fun to make. As you can see, I forgot to start the second one off in the same place in the self patterning yarn. They are bright and wild, so perhaps the average person won't notice my little slip up! Posted by Picasa

Completed "smoke ring"

This was my second of three smoke rings. This one was done using the lace weight (dye it or not) Merino wool from Knitpicks. I loved working with it! I did use a different method to add the glass beads. Instead of cutting off the yarn, threading the beads on and adding them that way, I used a tiny crochet hook to insert them onto the slipped knit stitches instead.  Posted by Picasa
